You can give entirely online through our Canada Helps page. We are a registered charity and Canada Helps will automatically issue you a tax receipt for any donation over $15. You can also choose what budget area you would like your donation to go towards.
Cheques can be made payable to Fight4Freedom and mailed to our PO Box. If you have a specific project that you wish to designate your funds towards, indicate this project on the memo line of the cheque.
PRE-AUTHORIZED DEBIT FORM
If you would like to donate monthly, consider filling out our pre-authorized debit form. This form authorizes your bank to automatically donate your donation each month on a set date. To use a PAD option, fill out the form and send it to us with a void cheque included. These can be physically mailed to our PO Box or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We can accept donations via e-transfer through the email email@example.com. Please make sure to indicate in a separate email your full name, physical address, and project/staff fund designation as appropriate.
Fight4Freedom is partnering with GiveShop to make donating easier. Now you can turn second-hand items into cash donations for us on our GiveShop marketplace. You can also create a virtual garage sale using GiveShop marketplace with your workplace and friends or family groups to donate to us.
SECURITIES OR MUTUAL FUND DONATION
A donation of securities or mutual funds is another efficient way to give. Since capital gains taxes don't apply, Fight4Freedom receives the full fair market value when the security is sold, and you get a tax receipt which reflects your larger contribution. Complete the online pledge and a Letter of Direction will be provided at the end of your pledge. Send the completed Letter of Direction to your broker authorizing the transfer of your shares.
