About Fight4Freedom

Our History

In 2009, the knowledge of an underage girl domestically sex trafficked in Canada caused a team to form to help her in her unique situation. This team continued to meet and talk about sex trafficking issues in Canada, and in 2012 began to reach out to areas where sex trafficking was known to occur.

In the summer of 2012 the group grew significantly in number and committed to weekly prayer meetings surrounding the issue of sex trafficking as well as meeting every two weeks to plan ways to provide relief and support

Currently, Fight4Freedom currently operates in different locations across Canada, with active teams going on outreach each month. We are able to make contact with over 600 individuals each month through our various outreaches and are seeing survivors regularly leave their traffickers.

Our purpose is to fight sex trafficking in our cities, nations, and world.

Mandate

To be an active voice and advocate of justice for individuals impacted by the sex industry and trafficking; and to further assist them in finding necessary support systems that will support their journey of healing, restoration, safety, and freedom.

Mission

Our mission is as follows:
  • To seek out individuals affected by sex trafficking and connect them with support, premised on biblical principles of love, patience, and compassion
  • To protect the rights and dignity of individuals who are impacted by sex trafficking
  • To collaborate, engage in dialogue and partner with other national stakeholders and agencies that directly or indirectly have a passion to help individuals affected by sex trafficking
  • To advocate for changes and support upcoming policies that directly or indirectly have an impact on seeing sex trafficking eradicated in the world
  • To provide preventative measures that will help individuals understand their identity, value, and self worth as well as provide that support for those who are still in situations of trafficking/exploitation

Vision

Our vision is as follows:
  • To see a radical change in policy incoherence
  • To see individuals affected by sex trafficking adequately provided with necessary supports and services
  • To see individuals affected by trafficking healed through the power of Jesus Christ, empowered to live a life in safety, and freedom and equipped to be a voice for other individuals impacted by trafficking
  • To see passionate individuals take a stance in seeing sex trafficking eradicated through prayer, outreach, and advocacy
  • To spread awareness about the scope of sex trafficking and provide a forum in which these individuals can be voice concerns and be agents of change
  • To see a radical transformation in our law enforcement through education. We aim to see a balance between the prosecution of traffickers and sensitivity to individuals affected by trafficking.
